Janelle Askew is the director of engagement of the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC). She is an Air Force veteran, having held positions in command and control, led military treatment facility (MTF) programs, and provided oversight of MTF clinics throughout her military career. 
 
Janelle has served veterans and their families in the civilian sector, ensuring they receive access to the best medical treatment in and outside the facilities. She also has a background in customer service, project management, and operational efficiency. 
 
Janelle is a Texas native who now resides in Kansas and has three daughters. She holds both a master's in Organizational Performance and a bachelor's in Healthcare Management from Bellevue University. Janelle is a published author, a ministry leader within her church and a part of a jail ministry writing team. She is also a Life Purpose Empowerment Speaker and Podcaster who uses her voice to inspire and encourage the lives she encounters. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves to read books on personal growth, faith, and leadership.
